Pretty good episode. The dancing Santas were fun for this normally Christmas grinch (myself). It was refreshing. Now, my favorite scenes were the ones with Provenza. He's normally a lovable grouch without much cause, but this time there was a pleasant reason for his hurry hurry rush rush. Whereas a lot of TV watchers don't really care about the personal lives of the characters, I do. Not so much the day-to-day drudgery, but little insights into the characters. Provenza is the man. The team looks to him for guidance even though he's by far the most cynical. He has a heart of gold. What I didn't like about the episode was Sharon's family. Maybe because I didn't have those dynamics in my family. It's hard to believe that at this point the kids can't say what they feel and what they need. It was unfair of them to put Rusty in the middle of "their" family mess. Sharon has been a mom to Rusty and for him to be pushed into lying through omission to Sharon was wrong. He won't be able to because he can't maintain a poker face. Jack and Sharon should be over manipulating their kids. I understand when the kids are young and the parent wants some semblance of order and balance in their lives. Now that the children are adults who seem to have always known that Jack has a drinking problem, it should be their decision to see or not to see him. It kind of tarnishes Sharon's halo if she urges them not to see him because he's drinking again.
I did not see Sharon manipulating her kids, I remember her saying she is Switzerland. I think Rusty was right on when he told Emily they are adults and can decide for themselves and that Sharon can handle being told Jack is drinking again.
Loved Provenza in this episode. His comments had me laughing out loud.
This episode I did not figure the murderer out until the end. Love that!
Loved the wife of George. She made me cry. Wonderful actress, does anyone know her name? She looked familiar.
Saw the die packs coming, but still funny.
Overall a very good episode.
