- Brenda leaves the LAPD for a job as Chief of the District Attorney's Office's Bureau of Investigation. Andrea Hobbs warns her it will be more administrative though she can still work in the field if she wants at times, but she has no choice as she gets into serious trouble with the LAPD for her assault on Phillip Stroh. While she is cleared of shooting him, she is not cleared of attacking him and given her past with Turrell Baylor, she knows it will cause a lot of issues so she quits and takes Hobbs' offer. She takes Gabriel with her as a liaison officer. In season 3 of Major Crimes, Fritz reveals that she's considering a new job in Washington DC, though if she takes it or how Fritz's decision to take a job as Deputy Chief in charge of the Special Operations Bureau of the LAPD will affect it is unknown.
